FAQ

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR STORE HOURS?

A: we are open from 11-5 on Saturdays only at our Bloomington location (101 W Kirkwood Ave, Suite 107 at the Fountain Square Mall). you can shop anytime from the website or contact us on Instagram or email to set up another time to shop!

Q: HOW DOES VINTAGE DENIM SIZING WORK?

A: vintage sizing can be quite complicated to a first-time vintage denim buyer.

most modern companies use “vanity” sizing (even modern Levis!) which tend to be 2-3 sizes smaller than vintage sizing.
ex: if you are a 31 in modern Levis, you might be closer to a 33 or 34 in vintage!

all vintage denim at skullznbunniez is done by exact measurements.
ex: a pair of jeans that measure 14" across the waist lying flat is 28" doubled, making the size of the jeans a 28".

usually (but not always) your waist measurement will correspond to your denim size.
ex: if your waist measures 23" around, you would be a size 23"!
this will also apply to your hip and thigh measurements.

see my custom listings for more details, or message me with questions as I know this can seem complicated at first!

Q: HOW LONG DOES A CUSTOM ORDER TAKE TO BE DELIVERED?

A: each custom order will take 4-6 weeks maximum to be dispatched from the time ordered.
I work as fast as possible to get custom orders finished, so sometimes it can be only a week or two!
the timing depends on how many orders I currently have still to fill, which is always changing.

after an order is dispatched, it usually takes 2-4 business days to be delivered to you.

there is an option for rushed shipping in my store and
can be found in the shop section “add ons and exchanges”.
this will dispatch your order in 1-12 days instead of the normal 4-6 weeks.
it puts you ahead of 300+ orders!

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO PRESERVE MY DENIM?

A: all denim can be washed and dried as normal, but it doesn’t need to be washed after every single wear at all!
100% cotton vintage denim will mildly stretch as you wear it out of the dryer, so depending on the fit you like,
you can wash and dry as it works for you!

I would recommend washing as less as possible,
for that will make the patches and other easily worn spots of the denim last longer.

distressing and fraying will increase as you wash and dry.
if you wish for your items to remain the exact same for as long as possible, hand wash and dry.

CAN I EXCHANGE MY ITEM IF IT DOESN'T FIT?

A: short answer, yes.
for a more detailed list of my return and exchange policies, please view my shop policies
(can be visited by clicking the upper right hand corner to see a drop down menu)

CAN I RECEIVE MY CUSTOM ORDER ANY SOONER THAN 3-4 WEEKS?

A: of course!
there’s an option to “rush your order” under my shop section “add ons and exchanges”.
add the “rush your order” listing to your cart at checkout with any custom order
and your order will dispatch in 1-12 days!

WHY IS VINTAGE DENIM AND LINGERIE SO "EXPENSIVE"?

when it comes to clothing, I truly believe in the saying “you get what you pay for”.
without getting too much into “fast” fashion and “slow” fashion, there is a reason shops like
Shein, Forever 21 etc. can charge so little for the clothing they sell.
the quality is low, they are mass marketing their items, and everything is made without fair wages or working conditions.
if you would like to read more on this subject, I recommend the book “The Conscious Closet” by Elizabeth Cline.

in comparison, everything that I sell in my shop is not only ethically sourced but of the utmost quality.
there’s a reason vintage Levi’s are still able to be worn 20-40 years later - they are impeccably made.
the right pair of vintage Levi’s or a piece of Valentino lingerie can truly last you a lifetime and are investment pieces.

with that being said, I keep my prices as low as I can while factoring in the many,
MANY hours of work this shop takes and all of the costs of having a small business
(shipping, packaging materials, inventory, storage units, memberships to editing apps/websites, marketing costs…..the list goes on!).
